Netherlands 160 all out off 46.2 overs
Bangladesh 166/4 off 41.2 overs
Bangladesh won by 6 wickets
Netherlands lost wickets on regular intervals which meant they were never going to put up a score that they could defend and given that Bangladesh lost an early wicket they were always in control and won it with ease.
Zimbabwe 151/7 off 39.4 overs
Pakistan 164/3 off 34.1 overs
Pakistan won by 7 wickets D/L Method
This match was interrupted by rain so therefore the overs were reduced instead.

South Africa 272/7 off 50 overs
Ireland 141 all out off 33.2 overs
South Africa won by 131 runs
South Africa didn't get to the best of starts and at one stage they were struggling at 117/5 however excelling batting from Duminy and Ingram boosted the score to 272. Ireland lost wickets at regular intervals and they were never in the hunt as they were bowled out for 141.

Australia 212/3 off 34.5 overs
Australia won by 7 wickets
Canada got to a flying start however they collapsed from 150/2 to 211 all out and this chase was just far to easy for the Aussies.

england won by 18 runs against west indies, still wont make it past the super eights if they make it.
it should be a straight knock out with a random draw after the group stage not another big group stage.

Anyway, what a thrilling game today, real edge of the seat stuff all the way through. Tremendous entertainment! Yet agan England are involved in a game which was turned on its head towards the end.

Yes England are the great entertainers. Never mind about T20, England are putting 50 over cricket back at the top. Needing 244 for victory, West Indies were coasting on 222/6 with 9 overs to go, before England hauled themselves back from the brink of oblivion. Excellent captaincy by Strauss who got everything right on the day and England managed in the end to defend a score which wasn't likely to have been enough.

Topsy turvy stuff that game. Thought we were ok to start with
. Then a succession of batsmen got in and got out and we looked in trouble 
. Then Luke Wright starts to repair some damage . Then he gets out sloppily with a slog sweep straight to the man in the deep 
. Then a mini recovery . But England yet again get bowled out within 50 overs 
. Then Gayle goes berserk with the bat 
. Gets out lbw but then Sammy comes in and hits some big shots . A middle order slump as England rally and it looks good 
. Then a seventh wicket stand that threatens to send England out . And then the finale as the last 4 wickets tumble in no time and England win . Anybody got some tranquilizers? . Manic stuff.

i do follow cricket but it does show that 50 over cricket is not so popular. the 2007 world cup it the format no good.
