^^ Must be the first time that the Curran brothers have faced each other at this level. Tom finished on the losing side, scored 10 no & had expensive figures on 1-54. Sam took 3-33 & scored 17 off 6 balls.
Samson was player of the match with his 74 from 32 ball with 9 sixes & just one four.
Archer played a big part with the best economy rate by for 6-5 & hit 4 sixes in a row in the last over which pushed the target out of reach. Dhoni's tactics were puzzling, batting at 7 & taking singles when the rate was 2 runs a ball, then with 38 required off the last over he hit 3 sixes on the trot.
In all there were 33 sixes in the match which equals the record in the IPL.

^^ Highest IPL run chase. The Royal were up against it, when they elevated youngster Tewatia up the order & he struggled to time anything for a while. Then there was 50 runs scored of 11 balls, with Tewatia hitting Sheldon Cottrell for 30 in one over. This Sharjah venue is producing some high scoring cricket.
