RE: 2022 World Cup Qatar - lovebabes56 - 18-06-2019 09:59 in light of Platini's arrest in on suspicion of corruption will this the vital nail in the coffin for Qatar 2022, and the FA stepping in to replace the hosts? it would be like justice was served RE: 2022 World Cup Qatar - Goodfella3041 - 18-06-2019 21:12 Hypocrisy is not justice. The FA was hardly a dignified participant in the FIFA fiasco. Leaving aside the luxury handbags that the FA doled out as gifts to the wives of FIFA voting members, they also committed to meaningless friendlies in Trinidad and Thailand as further inducements for their votes. We played the same game as everyone else -- we just paid less. When BBC Panorama chose to run an expose of corrupt practices at FIFA, the FA called BBC bosses in to Wembley to try to muzzle them. Now that it's all blown up, it would be a bit rich for The FA to claim to be a model of integrity. If the World Cup is stripped from Qatar (it won't be) it should be reallocated to a country that genuinely DID stay out of the muck. It ain't us. RE: 2022 World Cup Qatar - lovebabes56 - 20-12-2019 08:42 When you look at the logistical problems Liverpool had to juggle with for this Club world cup there, you can probably multiply the logistical problems for world football when it comes to 2022 by probably at leat 2-3 times. I know that a winter break was pencilled in for our leagues in 2022 (I can't remember if the FA ever confirmed it or not), but certainly FIFA will probably still get flak for it after it is over, and rightly so. FIFA should have laid down a guideline for federations to follow in preparation. i don't know how far the FA/EPL have gone with their preparations, bu I am sure the Scottish FA probably have laid plans down for a while should Scotland qualify. From lookling at the draw this must be about the fifth or sixth time we have played Poland in qualifying and they have to be the team we have to beat to get to Qatar as group winner the draws probably look favourable for both Scotland and Wales, they could have been worse. thoughts guys? I watched the draw, quite the hoot. When they got to Pot 4 and you're looking at the Luxembourgs and Albanias, and think "blimey, how much worse will the teams after this be?" I did hope England might get a clean sweep of Eastern European countries for the full Brexit LOLs RE: 2022 World Cup Qatar - lovebabes56 - 08-12-2020 16:08 sorry mate apologies RE: 2022 World Cup Qatar - lovebabes56 - 25-03-2021 19:58 England start the road to Qatar 2022 against San Marino....
