RE: Formula 1 - jozefbloggz - 09-07-2012 17:47 just got back from a fantastic weekend at silverstone, weather was atrocious, same as last year, but at least we got the sunshine for the race itself,as were both big mclaren fans the result wasnt what we hoped for,but if i wanted anyone else to win it would be mark webber, the cheer that went up around the whole circuit when he overtook alonso was unbeleivable, and just shows how well liked he is here in britain, cant wait for next year,go lewis,go jenson RE: Formula 1 - Tumble_Drier - 09-07-2012 19:26 (09-07-2012 07:46 )bigguy01 Wrote: like in canada alonso was going backwards in the last few laps. i hope mclaren can sort themselves out with the car. McLaren need to do 2 things. 1. Ron Dennis needs to take charge of the F1 Team again. 2. Sack Sam Michael. RE: Formula 1 - -PJ- - 09-07-2012 20:33 Was a very good race, pleased for Webber, don't see any reason for him to leave Red Bull next year now. Have you noticed how well Williams are doing this year, now that Sam Michael has left. There were a lot of very surprised people in the F1 Paddock when McLaren signed him up. He wasn't particularly popular amongst the troops at Williams. Three things, put Button on a performance related pay, maybe then he'll actually pull his finger out and perform more consistently so he can continue to fund his playboy lifestyle, instead of whining like a child all the time because someone else has a better toy then him. He looked better than Hamilton at the end of last season, but has reverted to his usual form again. Yes the car is not good enough, but Hamilton has the same car and is doing so much better with it. RE: Formula 1 - Charlemagne - 10-07-2012 16:07 Rumour has it that Hamilton is so unhappy with an under performing team that he's already had negotiations with Lotus for next session. RE: Formula 1 - Rammyrascal - 10-07-2012 16:27 yeah heard this myself. mclaren do seem to be going backwards at the moment. other f1 news today mark webber is staying at redbull till the end of the 2013 season RE: Formula 1 - -PJ- - 10-07-2012 18:12 Not sure if Lotus would be much of a better choice for Hamilton if i'm honest, hope it isn't Grosjean's seat under threat. Expected Webber to stay, there was no better option for him. RE: Formula 1 - Tumble_Drier - 10-07-2012 21:57 I honestly can't see Lewis going to Lotus. He's been in the McLaren system far too long and the rumoured 5 year, £100 million pay packet will be hard to turn down. Webber has tied up the 2nd RedBull seat, Alonso isn't going anywhere and i suspect Perez will get Massa's Ferrari seat even though the Brazillian is "back to his best". I think Ferrari & Sauber will simply swap drivers... Kimi's Lotus contract for 2013 supposedly depends on him finishing in the top 8, which is looking likely. Grosjean is out of contract at the end of the year, but will Lewis play 2nd fiddle to the Iceman?....they could give him equal status but we all know the established driver is effectively number 1 in any team no matter what McLaren might claim. |
