RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - HannahsPet - 11-05-2014 22:00 Wow Amazing tweets from ashley Cole Ashley Cole @TheRealAC3 I got the call from Roy and agree England team should be about the young players. I think it best I retire from England team now. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - whorelover - 11-05-2014 22:09 Surprised he isn't going, he hasn't played much this season but when he has he's been brilliant! RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - HannahsPet - 11-05-2014 22:13 like the fact Roy called him and explained why think it is the right decision for england this world cup should be seen as a step towards 2016 euros and blooding the new kids into tournament football RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - 7 stars of the orient - 12-05-2014 00:12 (11-05-2014 22:00 )HannahsPet Wrote: Wow Amazing tweets from ashley Cole That tweet from Ashley Cole got retweeted 10,300 times within 4 minutes. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - lovebabes56 - 12-05-2014 06:21 We'll find out today who else isn't going and then they tweet they're retiring from international football!! I agree the World Cup should be about blooding young players for the next 4 years, but at the same you also have to the right mix of youth and experience too. I hope Hodgson gets it right. I'm sure some of thee younger players would find his advice invaluable. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Charlemagne - 12-05-2014 06:48 Brave decision from Roy to leave out Ashley Cole. The full squad is anounced at 2pm. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - bytor - 12-05-2014 06:57 I totally agree that younger players should be going. My only concern is that the squad is being picked a matter of weeks from the start of the world cup. The team selection should have been sorted out months ago and players given time to bond. Now the likes of the relatively inexperienced Luke Shaw will be subject to the full attention of the fickle media at a major tournament. Lets hope he has a sensational World Cup. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Tractor boy - 12-05-2014 07:16 Unless Leighton Baines gets injured I wouldn't expect Luke Shaw to see much action but I think it is good experience for him to go as I believe he could be England's no 1 left back for the next 10 years RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Rammyrascal - 12-05-2014 07:16 ^^^^^ the media attention luke shaw will be getting at the world cup (think he's going given Ashley cole's tweet about him not being in the squad and retiring from England) will have shot up dramatically now with the news that Man Utd have reached a deal with Southampton to sign Luke Shaw for around £25-£27 million with only personal terms to be sorted |
