I was engaging in the, by now, accepted Internet forum practice of re-wording someone's post slightly, in order to make a point and/or for sarcastic effect* (rather than just saying: "Beating Villa unimpressive? A week ago Villa beat your lot at Anfield, and did it without their main striker or their best central defender."). But I'd say you already know this. You're being deliberately evasive, by pretending to be mystified at what I've done. That way, your potentially awkward contention that, in effect, Arsenal have 'only' secured victory over a team 'easy to beat,' when that 'easy to beat' team fairly comfortably beat last year's Premier League runners-up (Liverpool!) seven days ago in the latter's own back yard, can slip by without having to be qualified.

Now that's been ironed out, is there anything else you want me to address? Or maybe you just fancy posting your favourite emoticon Rolleyes by way of come-back, instead?

* FYP = Fixed your post

RE: Arsenal FC - Fernandez Esperenda - 21-09-2014 16:54

No I just didn't understand what FYP mean't... thats all I asked you..

I already have said last week Liverpool were poor and deserved to be beat, even if we did beat Villa I would not have suggested it meant we are going to win the title like somebody in this thread were suggesting about Arsenal beating Villa..

get your facts straight and don't edit my posts in quotes again..

You needed to make it clear which part(s) of my reply you didn't understand then. I asked what you were struggling with, but you left the question hanging (you did something similar in relation the 'Germany hammering most teams' debate, the other week). I can only get 'facts' straight on the basis of what's provided in actual exchanges; otherwise inference/subjective interpretation is the only course left open! And if I want to edit your posts making clear that I'm doing so within the accepted convention of forum 'post fixing,' I'll continue to do so (as you're free, and should be free, to do so with mine or anyone else's, within that convention). Maybe you could cultivate a bit of a sense of humour in the meantime?

If you want to carry this on, we can do so with PMs, if you like, or maybe we could get one of the mods to set up a thread in the Twilight Zone for us? It wouldn't be fair to Arsenal fans if we were to drag this thread off topic much more, over a personal spat.

Good to see Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry back playing for the Under 21 side at Notts County tonight(Friday), hopefully both will be back in contention for 1st team soon

Never mind a birthday, I think all Arsene Wenger's Christmases have come all at once too laugh
Puts them in a strong position to qualify.
Age old problem though - they could do with winning the group to avoid a really tough knockout tie.
