India go 2 up in the series and were always in control of this match, apart from an opening stand for England at the beginning of the day. England in the end made only 227, which never looked like being enough, and India won by 6 wickets with 7 overs to spare.

England were forced into a late change for the 4th ODI, when Bell suffered an injury in the nets and was replaced by Ballance. That meant 3 changes in all, with Moeen Ali coming in as the side's spinner ahead of Tredwell and Harry Gurney's left-arm seam being preferred to Stokes.

India won the toss and put England in and were rewarded with 3 quick wickets, Cook, Hales and Ballance. England 23/3 after 8 overs.

4th ODI.

England were all out for 206 in 49.3 overs. Yet another poor batting performance. England just don't seem to be in this series at all.

No, England can't get near to India in this series. Thrashed by 9 wickets this time, India making 212/1 in only 30.3 overs. England aren't building towards the forthcoming World Cup, they are crumbling ahead of it.

England: 294/7 (50 overs) Root 113

India to bat shortly

Yes better from England today. Joe Root and Jos Buttler pillaged a century stand and although Root made a far bigger score Buttler's impact was huge as well. Ben Stokes hit a couple of sixes too and England were left with a chance of mopping up a consolation win in the series.

Whatever the outcome of this final game it's too little too late for England.

T20 match at Edgbaston.
But questions need asking as to why the groundsman has provided a spinners wicket bladewave

England post 180-7 in their 20 over, mostly due to a 71 run knock by Ewan Morgan...

This is much better from England. After winning the final 50 match they have kept the momentum going into this T20 and have set India a challenging target. Good to see Bopara back in the side and he hit 21 off only 9 balls at the end of England's innings.
