It's easy to reverse your argument and claim that the Mirror is supporting Lacey by running the poll. After all, it suggests despite the waitress comment that glamour modelling may be a respectable occupation.

Waitress snaps back (well done - its only a Sunday job and lifes too short). Spineless manager makes the wrong call now this has leaked to the papers and girl gets fired.

Don't know about you but I like a restaurant where a manager backs his staff and points out "sir, your being a cock and we don't need your custom, please leave". All this customer is always right just gets on my nerves and makes me disinclined to return to a restaraunt.

I've complained about service or food in a few restaraunts. Always get up, find the manager and have a quiet word. Never got close to raising my voice and certainly never been a danger of involving the Police

Also, I can't believe people saying that the waitress had no right to answer back if she was getting grief. Too many customers think they can treat staff like shit whether it's a restaurant, bar, shop, bank, insurance company or whatever.

In my experience it tends to be the two extremes who have no bloody manners, either the absolute chavs like in this instance or the snobby bastards who think they are better than everyone else.
