Seen a few elections in my time, but have to say, the level of bullshit and untruths in this election is way above anything that has gone on before. Seems to be getting worse every election. This system we have is outdated and is crying out for reform, has been for a long time. Cant see it changing, as the moneymen have control, and wouldnt allow anything to challenge their power. Come friday morning, the real leaders will carve up the country between them. Whatever the result, the worst of in our country will suffer, thats the only certain thing.

My biggest fear is how the financial markets will react to a Labour win

The BBC's election news studio looks like the X-factor set.

If Labour win, they'll go for another election, but if it's the Tories, they won't (cf. 1964, 1974)

Doubt Labour could afford another election especially with milliband been biting the hand that controls the cash ie the unions. and with the 5 year fixed parliment rule then would have to be a 2/3 majority of all mp's to vote for another which would never happen

was interesting section on daily politics about what happens basically nothing changes ministry wise the ministers in charge would still be in charge even the ones if they lose there seats in election cameron will still be pm until he isnt

and whoever wins would have to get their Queens Speech approved if they lost that that, that would effectively be a vote of no confidence right?

Basically the only way they can be kicked out is a vote of no confidence but someone has to call for it

So bascially a minority goverment could be held to ransom by any smaller party who could keep voting down a queens speech and budget but always voting for them in any vote of no confidence

if there is a vote of no confidence the other side has 14 days to try to find some sort of agreement to get a majority
