Yeah Seven's scenes in the Borg Cube were great, Jeri Ryan seemlessly slipping back into her liberated Borg role. A shame we'll never her scenes with Hugh now.

But somehow I found the Jean-Luc and Soji dialogue about Data even greater. Quite touching.

Finally got round to bingeing all eight episodes over the last three days, so time for some random thoughts. The titles are beautiful, I've watched through them half the time even though there's a skip button.

I'd like them to stop bringing back minor characters from TNG and Voyager just to slaughter them, however if they want to put Janeway through a mincer that would be just fine.

Almost pissed myself laughing when due to my shit hearing the Borg-harvester who was holding Maddox was introduced as "Vajazzle." Disappointed to find out it was actually Bjayzl.

Where did all those synths on Mars come from? In TNG there were only the four Soong-type androids (Data, Lore, B4 and Lal) plus there was that episode with the three little robots that were developing sentience. Other than that I don't remember any uses of androids. Maybe they were just restricted to shipyards, but I'm sure Geordie LaForge would have liked a couple he could send into the Jeffries tubes rather than clamber around in them himself.

On the whole, enjoying it a lot and looking forward to next week.

once you make one AI synth that is capable of learning, it can quickly work out ways to build, on mass, lots more copies of itself and possibly even superior versions. Before you know it, you have a planet full....and they're all immune to the Corona virus but can be accidentally killed by just spilling a cup of tea on them.

Star Trek: Picard Ep 9 “Et in Arcadia” Part 1 Season 1

For the most part a good Ep and set for the season finale. Really great to see Jeri Ryan (unfortunately under used along with the character Elnor)and Brent Spiner especially with how the explain latter. For most of the Ep it was great seeing the plot of season bare fruit. For me it’s the last 15 mins where it’s a bit of disappointment they seem to have this problem of having convenient things happen for example the female Romulan being beating by loads of ex borg but conveniently escapes, similar plot happens all tho we all know it’s not what it seems but again it’s little easy and unearned. For me the Romulans have been the weakest part of the show and for a race that were in trouble but needed the Federations and you see what there doing now they really didn’t need help being this powerful now.
I just wish they did a better job of explaining certain things a problem long running in the season.
