No games today, I think if Scotland had played that much more positively against Ireland, I would hsve thought the picture would have been different. Pool A for me now is the most wide open pool for me. England have a vey big match against Argentina later this week and they know that have to win it to keep momentum up because if they lose that, it will be an all or nothing game in their final game against France and I don't think England can afford to go out in successive tournaments in the group stages.

Tomorrow's games are : -

POOL A
NEW ZEALAND V CANADA (KO 11:15)

POOL C
FRANCE V USA (KO 8:45)

From an England point of view it would be nice to see USA stun France, but I think the French will have too much for the USA so that will be a bonus point game for the French who for me haven't really got going, sometimes it is a slow burner with French. NZ should pretty much steam roller the Canadians but I think the Canadians will make it a competitive game and hopefully push NZ hard.
so prediction is
France to win be 10 - 15 points
NZ will be around 40pts win

Current Score ;
FRANCE 12 USA 6 is a major upset on the cards here? Half expected France to be further ahead than this

Score UPDATE ;
FRANCE 31 USA 9

i will say this - the way that Japan has hosted this tournament, has actually made me think that they could even eclipse London 2012 as being the best Olympic games ever staged next year. They have shown that they were worthy of that status. Unlike the current world Athletics championships I would not be surprised if the attendances for 2019 matches were better than 2015 and attendances for this were better the Athletics

RE: Rugby world cup Japan 2019 Discussion Thread - lovebabes56 - 02-10-2019 11:20

FINAL SCORE:

FRANCE 33 USA 9

TODAY'S GAMES ; - (KO TIMES BST)

IRELAND VS RUSSIA KO 11:15)

CURRENT SCORE:
GEORGIA 10 FIJI 17

Hoping Ireland after their loss to Japan have managed to get their A game back together and I think Russia will push as hard as they did in the tournament opener against Japan and I think that performance has show how seriously Ireland will have to take Russia

Prediction: Ireland to win by 15 pts

RE: Rugby world cup Japan 2019 Discussion Thread - lovebabes56 - 03-10-2019 08:44

FINAL SCORE ;
GEORGIA 10 FIJI 45
A good win for Fiji but I don't think it opens the group up that much more, Wales still have the advantage, but it will be tight on who finishes second

This is disrespectful from a soccer player IMO the Haka is one of sports' spectacles performed by the All Blacks as a challenge to the opposition and should ALWAYS be respected. Mr Lineker however didn't seem to think so!!

It is Lineker - don't give it any credibility! He wouldn't know rugby if it came face - to - face with him, and introduced itself! He wouldn't understand respect for refs, and the intent of players to stay ON their feet, despite being hammered by opposition runaway boulders! His ignorance about the Haka speaks volumes for him! It is as much about themselves (the AB's) as it is a challenge! Everyone knows that!

I'm not going to give him any credibility whatsoever!! I'd just like to see him face down the Haka for real and then get flattened!!
