^^ A good point, I guess than your mixing formats, & now the 50 over comp has been downgraded to a 2nd team comp it's more of an issue than it might have been. Also many more County cricketers have white-ball only contracts, for example, Notts have Hales & Patel.
The more you think about it, it's a pointless task, having a season long, (albeit disjointed) Championship, present the winner & then ask the runner-up to see if they can do what they failed to do over 14 matches, in a one-off.
