^ I agree about Mac Jones being a bargain. He was a first round pick for a fading Patriots team. And I thought that he was comparable to Purdy in last nights match.

This was a good result seeing as so many of their top players were missing, the most notable being Nick Bosa. You have to ask where the Rams go after failing to beat a 2nd squad and at home. Perhaps put the receivers on catching practice.

Nightmare upon nightmare watching the ravens defense against the Texans the season is fading away fast

^^ You need Lamar back, & Henry needs to get his mojo back after issues with fumbles, he got shut down which put all the pressure onto the passing game, you don't win many games with 3 int's. Just 12 1st downs is a poor offensive output.
I saw the list of injuries to key players, as bad as those that the 49ers are trying to overcome. I really thought this would be the year for the Ravens to push on & get a Super Bowl win.

Eagles 17 - 21 Broncos
Yet another undefeated team lose their perfect record, the Broncos rallied with 18 4th quarter points to upset the reigning Super Bowl champs.

I think the Eagles have been struggling to hold off teams in the 4th quarters and it caught up with them today. Great game - although I still thought they were going to steal it with the hail mary throw attempt at the death.

Nice win, really nice win, for Denver. Nice to see the season really competitive so far. You don't want teams running away with perfect records, it's good for the game to be able to keep people guessing.

What do we think for later - Bills to win (I assume) by how many points? Need a tip for my late night Sunday NFL bet...

RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 05-10-2025 21:14

^^ Just looking how both teams have gone this season I expect the Pats to be competitive & not get blow away, no worse than 9 points.
Just checked the odds & Bills are 8.5 points favourites, without sounding smug. Wink

I played it relatively safe and just went for a quarterback props bet. Josh Allen to make 250 or more passing yards and 2 or more passing touchdowns. Cashed out about 2 minutes before the end for a decent return with the Patriots in front.

Surprised to see the Patriots hold on. Surprised

Bills 20 - 23 Pats
A really hard fought battle with the main point of difference being turnovers. the Pats had just one with 3 for the Bills after having only 3 through their first 4 games.
With Vrabel at the helm the Pats are improving, the last time they won 2 games in a row was in 2022. The Bills were the last unbeaten team this season. This is the first time since 2014 that there are no undefeated teams after week 5.
Allen was generally impressive, completing 22 passes from 31 attempts, 2 TD's 1 INT., & 53 yards rushing from 9 carries. But he also fumbled on an exchange in the 1st quarter only for Stevenson to fumble for the Pats on their next drive in what was a mistake filled first quarter all round.
Whilst Bills RB Cook was kept quiet, WR Kincaid had 8 receptions for 108 yards.
The connection between Pats QB Maye & ex Bills WR Diggs proved vital in keeping many drives going. Diggs had 10 receptions for 146 yards. Countless times Maye escaped the pocket to find his receivers, he was forced to scramble & was sacked 4 times. This was the biggest test of his short career, his 1st Primetime game & he came through.
