In fairness, Raheem Sterling does look a little tired...

Both own goals prevented Balotelli from scoring his first Liverpool PL goal-assuming he'd have been able to hit the target.

Not sure if anyone wrote this up yet or if it on a different footie thread, but I would like to ask other babeshows footie members their opinions on Sheffield United F.C attempts to sign former Wales striker Ched Evan who was released from prison a few days ago, after servicing a sentence of 2 & half years, due to raping a 19yrs old girl.
Is it right that Sheffield United should re-sign Evans?

He didn't serve 5 years, he did 2 and a half, and no it is wrong them signing a rapist..

What has always puzzled me about Cheds case is how the same jury can acquit his co accused and then convict Ched when the prosecutors case was that victim was too drunk to give consent to either of the accused.
I don't think Sheffield Utd will sign him as they insist he apologises for his behaviour and as he maintains his innoence i don't see it happening but I hope he is allowed to return to football

I feel that by maintaining his innocence Ched Evans has stuck up two fingers to the his victim. They had a lively discussion on him on 5 live sports breakfast yesterday and I honestly feel after committing an act of rape he should never set foot on a football pitch again.
I think the conviction itself would make him an easy target for opposition fans. I think football needs to show it position on where it stands on such matters.

I have to say it was one of the games of the season so far, but I'm not sure how much longer Harry will remain in the Loftus Road hot seat. To lose by scoring two own goals is showing us to be a long way from the team that won the play of final so dramatically and if Harry does leave, we will have trouble in finding a suitable replacement.
