RE: Top Gear - babefan2012 - 22-10-2018 14:00 I'm not saying there hilarious far from it but jesus christ Chris Evans was about as funny as someone who thinks their funny but is about as funny as someone with leprosy!!!! Matt Le Blanc also not very funny for someone who's been in one of the best comedy sitcoms ever!!! I cant pass judgement on the most recent ones, as i saw none of them. In fact all ive seen since Clarkson, Hammond and May left has been clips. BBC..Save money and just scrap it, it was good but isn't anymore. RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 22-02-2019 21:36 Caught up with the start of the new series from Sunday night. Half-decent stuff, but Extra Gear is superfluous as always, and it's hard to judge whether their hearts are still in it. RE: Top Gear - GMach1 - 22-02-2019 21:45 If they are going to have, for the new series, Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness(I wonder which genius decided on him) I would hope the retain Chris Harris and Rory Read because they are the best thing about Top Gear especially when Harris he keeps telling Matt Le Blanc he's an idiot! I'd also like to see more of mad Sabine(the German driver) Did you notice a total absence of The Stig last week. Could it be that his appeal is waning? RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 23-02-2019 07:56 Given they said this amazing road was the Trollstigen, there was a noticeable lack of follow-up gag about it. Maybe the Stigfoot non-hilarity last year put them off? ![]() RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 26-02-2019 07:45 Bit more Stig this week, and a lot less Rory. RE: Top Gear - circles_o_o_o - 26-02-2019 13:05 The convert a car into a boat bit was all a bit familiar looking. And a whole show about a "car" and no power lap for it? There's only 5 episodes in this series and they waste a whole show on that. RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 26-02-2019 14:06 It was maybe like something for a special - who the hell in this country is gonna buy a tuk-tuk? RE: Top Gear - The Silent Majority - 05-03-2019 07:37 I think this series has been a bit flat, so far. Doing all the filmed pieces in pairs isn't helping. Especially the out and out comedy films, like the tuk-tuk trip. The 'two against one' type banter is much better. Have they had a budget cut or something ![]() RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 05-03-2019 14:15 I get that Rory gets his own show, but Chris tends to do all the films against Matt, and help out with the interviews. Then again, I suspect next year when it's Freddie & Paddy's Road to Nowhere, people will look back to now and say "they were great days" ![]() RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 11-03-2019 21:49 Extra Gear had some interesting stuff about Team Brit who were also in that big 6 hour rally. Other than that, the main show was so much a retread of past ideas, even the JCB-off felt passe. |
