Referees need to do more training, Palace were robbed tonight..

Yep I agree.
Palace were on the wrong end of some decisions tonight for sure. Should have had a sure fire penalty for a start.
That being said however Jedinak was a tad fortunate not to get a second yellow earlier than he did .

Sepp Blatter and his FIFA buddies are still trying to work out when they can hold the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
A lot of the European country want to hold it during May. But it looks like it will be either January and February or November and December.
The January-February dates would conflict with the Winter Olympics.

If they play During November & December then it is possible the Final could be played on Christmas Day if my calculations are right!! bet they now wished that they never let that vote stand and did the decent thing and awarded it to England. I def would consider pulling out of qualification due to the upheavals it would cause to our domestic game. What are we supposed to do? My suggestion after qualification would be to either stage it as a one - off knockout tournament from start to finish, home and away or as another one - off reduce the competition to just 16 countries to shorten the time span spent in Qatar. Either way there has to be minimal disruption to domestic programmes around the world whatever happens.
RE: Football Banter - bytor - 06-11-2014 06:54
None of that is going to happen. FIFA will want the tournament to be the usual big spectacle. The sponsors will want it to be a big spectacle and by the time it arrives the fans will want it to be a big spectacle. Whether or not it is in the winter only time will tell. If it wasn't for the corruptness that is rife throughout FIFA then the tournament would never have been awarded to Qatar in the first place. As for minimal disruption to domestic programmes...why? FIFA will expect the British and european leagues to plan ahead. There are several countries who usually play throughout the summer months who normally suspend or rearrange their leagues while their national squad plays at the World Cup.
