4.3 Bottle episode already, huh? Two things strike me about this; it is an interesting perspective to show the "other" side of the last 3 years, how things might pan out for someone unlucky enough to suffer as a bystander over and over (and it was mainly that the DEO act like unhelpfully smug pricks that seemed to exacerbate the issue).

On the other hand, neither Max Lord nor Morgan Edge needed this sort of excuse for characterisation. I mean, Edge had about 1 scene to establish himself and did the job perfectly. Oh well...

Christ, who next? Pamela Stephenson? Mark Pillow? Richard Pryor's probably relieved in his grave (needs a better verb there).

First look at Lois and Clark at the Kent farm from the crossover Elseworlds, same location for the Kent farm used in the tv series Smallville.

4.4 Well, perhaps it was straightforward enough to be easier to watch. I do like the somewhat more proactive antics of the baddies, rather than "let's give the DEO thinking time to catch up, let's just keep hitting them". The use of slimy parasites was crap in the Wrath of bloody Khan, never mind 35 years later.

I also thought Fiona was stabbed to death 3 weeks earlier; it's dubious to then be told "oh no, actually she was somehow kept alive long enough to be the pivot of some plan".

I did smile at the idea that Russian Kara was kept quiet because she would be zapped by Kryptonite too.

And oh look a Colonel investigating the DEO, we didn't see that sort of boredom in Series 1 much Rolleyes
