That's a good piece about social care Stu, it's complicated yes, but even small reforms over time would be something at least. Surely.
They've had the report sitting for 11 years (was it) and done what, shows they have no intention to try to fix it. Pass the buck government.
It's sad that people can earn more working for a supermarket than in social care, it shows they're not valued, they deserve so much better.

Lacey Amour could be in trouble.

^I love the attempt to play the "injustice & discrimination" card.
If you're on someone else's property you don't film for commercial gain without permission. Any "professional" should know that.

Yep, normally I'd agree with adult stars facing "injustice & discrimination" but not here. Lacey has it seems broken Travelodge's rules and done this it seems without permission

Ha, reminds me of the time, many years ago, legend of the old UK porn scene Vinnie Curran, and one-time page3er Georgette Neale got busted shooting a scene in a car park at Heathrow. I seem to recall they got caught at it ON the car rather than in the car, which was pushing their luck somewhat.
Think they got done on a public order offence or something, and got a fine or similar. Could have been jail at the time, especially for Vinnie with previous, so got away with it there Smile

Ken Bruce leaving Radio 2

Looks like he went on his own to greatest hits radio and good news he is taking popmaster with him

Another Death nail for Radio 2 after Steve Wright being forced out

A pity to see him go.

I really enjoy doing Popmaster and I like that he sometimes plays a few records that I like.

But I won't follow him to some random station, even at the expense of Popmaster. I hope that Chris Hawkins takes over his job, I could listen to him all day, or even Craig Charles.

Just so long as whoever's on is compelled to play music rather than talk all the time.

Ken Bruce is an absolute legend.
Terrible blow for BBC Radio.

RE: General News Thread - Chrisst - 18-01-2023 19:19

Ah, from what I read it's even worse.

Apparently Ken's going to some old fogies oldies station. Any of 300 records; ELO, Simon & Carbunkle, Johnny Mathis, Queen. eek

To me, the job of the DJ is to find and break new talent, I can't see them letting him do that, wouldn't leave enough time for the adverts.

No, sorry to see him go but the BBC for me, breath of fresh air, play something new. Smile
