RE: UFC - mitchell - 14-07-2011 16:15

This is typical UFC shit Tito wins his first fight in about 5 years & is now one win away from a title shot, we'll give you another chance but if you lose your gone, two wins later he's fighting for the title.
Ryan Bader is one win away from a title shot then loses two in a row & doesn't even get a mention. That folks is the UFC at it's best.... Once again!!!

Cheick Kongo v Matt Mitrione has been added to the UFC 137 card this should be a decent fight. It's looking like it's gonna be a good card as things stand with Cro Cop v Roy Nelson & the GSP v Diaz title fight.

Yeah that looks like a good card shaping up mate.Congo/Mitrione's a great fight.Mitrione must be at that point with the UFC,he's on a good run,not sure if he's the real deal....Answer:Throw him in with Congo Rolleyes

Good fight though looking forward to it.

RE: UFC - TDK2008 - 16-07-2011 06:21

Edgar vs. Maynard III for the UFC Lightweight Championship and Aldo vs. Florian for the Lightweight Championship at UFC 136, 8th October. Can't wait!

RE: UFC - mitchell - 16-07-2011 13:43

Yeah I've just seen that as well, UFC 136 is looking like a good show at the minute, lets hope it stays that way given most fighters are pulling out of fights with as little as a headache.

Frankie Edgar v Gray Maynard
José Aldo v Kenny Florian
Brian Stann v Chael Sonnen
Demian Maia v Jorge Santiago
Joe Lauzon v Melvin Guillard
Dave Herman v Mike Russow
Josh Grispi v Matt Grice

Aldo v Florian could be like playing Tekken. Lauzon v Guillard looks an interesting one, I think the winner of this gets the big fights. Maia v Santiago will be interesting given they're both BBJ black belts but Santiago has 9 KO's & Maia has shown much improved striking in his last 3 fights, Santiago's been KO'd 6 times so this could be a little different to what will be expected???

RE: UFC - groundnpound - 19-07-2011 14:40

UFC Fight Night 26 is likely to take place Nov 5th in Birmingham lads. Smile I've read the show might become UFC 138 with Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos (Nov 19th) becoming UFC 139 bladewave

Other news i've picked up is that Shane Carwin and Thiago Alves are both expecting calls from the UFC shortly to find out their next fights Smile and that the UFC are set to make a major announcement on Wednesday! eek

Wonder what it is?

RE: UFC - mitchell - 19-07-2011 20:16

UFC 138: Leben vs. Munoz While not officially announced by the organization, it is expected to take place on November 5, 2011 at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England

After several tenatively scheduled 2011 events at various locations around the United Kingdom did not materialize, including Glasgow, Liverpool, London as well as a planned return to Ireland, it was expected that the organization would not hold an event in the area during 2011.

The main event will be the first non-title five round fight in the history of the UFC
