Morecambe beat Newport AET, and will be in League One next season, the highest division they've ever played in, where they'll meet such powerhouse clubs as Charlton and Crewe and Wycombe.

If they make it into the championship at the end of next season - I reckon they swould have some exciting derby matches awaiting them.

RE: Football League: Discussion - Doddle - 01-06-2021 07:55

More exciting than Crewe, Accrington and Fleetwood? Wink

Morecambe manager Derek Adams has left to take over Bradford, who are still in League 2.

RE: Football League: Discussion - Doddle - 29-05-2022 21:20

Adams returned to Morecambe, and helped them to avoid relegation. Faced with the prospect of another season in the same division, Crewe got relegated.

Well done to Nottingham Forest for achieving promotion from the Championship, ending a 23 year sabbatical/exile from the Premier League.

I agree Having Notts Forest back in the top flight is great they've beren away too long.
Hopefully they will give a good account of themselves and give the other teams a good game or two I'd like to see them stay in the premiership a few years as the way they play probanly might get to football standards on the pitch to point it will bring back memories of pre premier leaguer style of playing. Sure they are likely to get some heavy defeats but their cup matches showed they are not worried sbout facing the likes of Liverpool etc. Be unteresting to see what they bring to the Premierdhip next season.

Morecambe look like they'll be getting relegated already.
