But the only people still up at that time are Open University students.

This forum must be popular with Open University students then, as it's often still busy at that time.

One second Lori is complaining that she has no callers and then suddenly decides she needs to have a quickfire round to fit everyone in. Logic misfire there.

That was a nice few moments with Lori and Savannah doing the g/g stuff tonight! Pity it didn't last longer. Now - do I go to bed or wait and see if anything else is gonna happen? Ooooh! Brookie has a girl caller..... =) Brookie's such a star these days. Love her from every angle!

thats BS producer logic used to do it all the time that along with not turning on a girls phone for 5 mins at start of a stint so they had the girl looking like a right tool with no calls while they collect all the multiple 2£ connection charges from all there punters trying to get thru to them
have you seen Ree's tweets about red light im sure the same things happen on all channels

Maybe the rational is that people are more likely to call when they know they only have
3 minutes and therefore know exactly how much it will cost them

They use the quick fire rounds in 2 different ways. One is when it quiet in order to encourage callers that what they spend will be capped (not true if course as you can still wait in a queue). The second way is when it really is busy and the increased chance of getting through is what they are effectively promoting. From being in the queue many times I'd say 50% of callers are done in 3 minutes anyway!

Yes, based on the times I've called a lot of people spend hardly any time on the phone. A fair few seem to bottle it the moment they get through.
One time I got through to Danni Levy and I was done in about 15 seconds. I was a little too excited having listened to the previous caller who was a girl. Danni wasn't very impressed with my stamina I must have sounded like a moron to the people listening.

I call Danni all the time. Be reassured its the effect she has! I find after my 3rd call of the night I've slowed down a bit
