RE: Olympics 2012 - gazfc - 12-08-2012 04:50 I may be a little sensative cause he's a Hull lad but I think the bbc have been a disgrace with regards to Luke, anyone would think Tom Daley had won gold the way they was bumming him, I'm still pissed off that the boxing wasn't even on their main channels. RE: Olympics 2012 - HannahsPet - 12-08-2012 05:24 yeah was a bit disgraceful especially as they had promised the fight would be on one after the athletics. the diving was on both channels mind you i did watch the diving and it was a great contest but so was the boxing RE: Olympics 2012 - lovebabes56 - 12-08-2012 07:46 I can't believe Gemma Gibbons broke a thumb and still won a silver medal!! But to finish third behind USA and China is still exceptional. We maybe fell short of expectations in some sports with gold targets, but I think we had some incredible high moments but nothing will match that incredible Saturday night in the Stadium. What this Goverment and successive Governments need to do is ensure that sports funding isn't cut, sports has some priority in the school curriculum and sports clubs also has funding to develop talent for Rio 2016. We also needs to look at how other countries train and develop their new talent and see what ideas we can adapt from their methods. But above all I think what we promised to the world, we delivered. RE: Olympics 2012 - HannahsPet - 12-08-2012 08:24 well if what PM is saying now with funding guarenteed to least rio and 1bn pounds over 5 years for kids sports then its a start. RE: Olympics 2012 - Rammyrascal - 12-08-2012 08:32 loved mo farah and usain bolt taking the mickey out of each other last night, mo doing situps after he finished his race, in reference to bolt doing pressups, then after bolt won the relay, bolt did the mobot celebration that farah does. love the picture of mo and usain bolt doing each others celebrations RE: Olympics 2012 - HannahsPet - 12-08-2012 09:01 RE: Olympics 2012 - TheTrooper - 12-08-2012 14:39 Gold for Anthony Joshua!! What a close fight! RE: Olympics 2012 - Ghost88 - 12-08-2012 14:44 Anthony Joshua wins gold with victory over Italian Roberto Cammarelle in super heavyweight final. That's our 29th gold of the games what a way to end. Well down team GB.
