Zorn is gone at the end of the season anyway unless we pull off a miracle and manage to scrape to a winning record. Lewis will not be given the Head Coaching job, Snyder wont sack Zorn during the season and if he does indeed fire him at the end of the season then he will go for a big name - part of me is hoping he goes for Shanahan.

Hopefully Lewis can persuade Zorn to remove the leash from around Campbells neck and finally open up our passing game. If he does though Campbell has to be quicker to get rid of the ball and see his other targets if Moss and Cooley arent there.

I know that the Skins fans have been complaining about Portis and us not getting the running game going but i looked on NFL.com the other day and he is the 10th leading rusher in the league so we arent doing that bad.

Portis is a class player when he is fit and injury free. I bet when those pesky redskins play the saintly Cowboys Campbell and Portis will look like the greatest players to have ever played the game.

Poolieguy I just want to say your opinions and insights on not just NFL but on life in general is a cut above anything else in this forum. I say this from the heart without any ulterior motive. Oh yeah completely slipped my mind have you got a spare ticket for the Wembley game?laugh

Interesting trade this week,The Browns trading Braylon Edwards to the Jets for a couple of draft picks,WR Chansi Stuckey and a special teams linebacker.I think if the Jets can cure him of the dropsies, this has to be an absolute steal and it might just give them the edge in the AFC east.

The browns had to trade Edwards his Posse got in a fight with Lebron James the basket ball player who is like god in Cleveland I would not be surprised if Edwards begged for the trade.

For me the more interesting part is the timing of this trade, it happened right after Michael Crabtree signed for the 49ers. This go will further towards the tampering charges that the league is looking into against the Jets. Basically this screams out that the Jets couldnt get Crabtree to sit out the season and decided to trade for a #1 WR. If Goodell didnt have proof that the Jets had tampered with Crabtree by offering him more than the 49ers were willing to pay then surely this provides it.

In terms of the trade i actually think its fairly balanced. There is no more hit and miss WR in the league than Braylon Edwards where as Stuckey is a solid reliable target from the little i've seen of him. As you say Pillow could be a steal if they can cure Edwards dropsies but cant see it happening.

I like Clinton Portis at RB ,I think he's a guy who is capable of getting the job done for us,but he has two big problems: A weak O line that is not opening the gaps for him (the O line may also be one of Campbells problems too) and secondly just checked the Skins stats at NFL.com and he has 72 carries, apart from Campbells scrambles the next
RB has 8 carries so Portis is pretty much carrying the whole load.

Agreed he is carrying the load and thats because the backups are average at best. I would like to see us give more carries to Marcus Mason who i think could turn into the change of pace back that we need.

He was a sensation in his rookie season though. If he stays fit injury free and gets a run of games going he could be a huge sensation

See that everyone. See how those pesky redskins only talk to their own clan. Just not approachable like us cowboys.laugh

I cant believe(on a serious note) that you are Even doubting for a fraction of a second the likelihood of the redskins achieving a winning season. they will be in my opinion 10-6 at worse
