I was asked by my niece today how do you delete a quotation on Facebook,i did not know so tried to delete it for her to no avail, anyone know how.HuhHuh

RE: Facebook - Jam Da Man - 23-06-2013 19:53

By a quotation, do you mean the "Favourite quotations" part of a persons profile, or a post someone has posted on your niece's page?

To remove a quotation from your (niece's) profile information, first go to her profile page, and click the "Update Info" tab near the top of the screen. Scrolling down should be all of the information that has been entered, in different categories. Find the "Favourite quotations" category, and click the edit button next to it. Then just delete whichever quote(s) you want rid of, and click the blue "save" button (just below where the the quote edit box is). Then scroll back up to the update info button and click that again. Quote(s) should be gone.

If you want to delete a post on facebook, at the top-right of each Facebook post, there should be two little icons: a star and a pen. If you hover over the pen and click it, you should be presented with some options, usually including "delete".

If it's someone else's post, that your niece is friends with that you want to remove, then instead of star and pen icons at the top-right of each post, there should be a little V shaped icon. Click that and you can either "Hide" or report that post.

Hopefully some of that was helpful. Smile

These methods will probably differ if browsing using a phone though.
