RE: Formula 1 - Charlemagne - 22-07-2012 17:00 Sebastian Vettel has been relegated to fifth position - and Jenson Button promoted to second - in the German Grand Prix after stewards imposed a 20-second time penalty on the World Champion for passing his McLaren rival from off the track on the penultimate lap of the race... RE: Formula 1 - -PJ- - 29-07-2012 17:35 Good to see Grosjean on the podium again, hopefully his first win isn't too far away. RE: Formula 1 - Money_Shot - 30-07-2012 08:58 I think Grosjean is a future champion. He drives really well and I think he has what it'll take. A few more years at Lotus and I think one of the bigger names will pick him up. Well done Lewis Hamilton for his win yesterday. He said he needed a big result in Hungary and he got it. Great driving. RE: Formula 1 - -PJ- - 31-07-2012 00:23 I've been following Grosjean's career since 2008 when he joined GP2 after winning the F3 Euroseries title, he's always been one of those drivers who you can tell has something special. It's just a shame his career had such a setback thanks to Flavio Briatore calling him up to F1 before he was ready. He clearly has the speed, now he just needs to improve his racecraft which will come with experience. RE: Formula 1 - Charlemagne - 02-09-2012 11:42 Bernie Ecclestone says that Michael Schumacher will be missed at the end of the session. So when asked if Michael was retiring... Bernie suddenly remembered that it hadn't been released and said he didn't know if Michael was going to retire... Very confusing but it looks like it's the last that we'll being seeing of Michael. Unluckly we will still be seeing more of 81 year old Bernie, who has just married a girl 46 years younger than himself RE: Formula 1 - Charlemagne - 02-09-2012 12:11 10 secs into the GP and Hamilton's- Out, Alonso's - Out, Grosjean's - Out, Perez's -Out, Maldonardo's- Damaged RE: Formula 1 - Rammyrascal - 02-09-2012 12:28 yeah saw that, what a massive pile up. for me it was grosjean's fault, trying to force hamilton off the road RE: Formula 1 - dirtbag - 02-09-2012 14:34 Well done to Button after a disappointing first half of the season. RE: Formula 1 - munch1917 - 02-09-2012 17:01 Lewis is in bother again. Apparently he tweeted a picture showing his lap details alongside Jensen's from yesterday. This is usually considered confidential by the teams, and McLaren were less than happy and made him remove the picture. This while he is still in negotiations for next seasons contract. Word is his representatives have approached other teams like Ferrari and Red Bull who were not interested, so he really needs to be keeping McLaren sweet. Decent race for Button, but it just shows how inconsistent he is, rubbish one race, good the next. He also tends to need to be out front from the start to win a race. Grosjean is banned for one race for causing the pile-up. Goodness knows what may have happened there, so lucky no-one got hurt. Don't know if Maldonado may still get a penalty for a jump start, he got away with it during the race as he went out early on. RE: Formula 1 - Tumble_Drier - 02-09-2012 17:07 2 x 5 place grid drops for Maldonado. 1 for the jump start and one for the crash (he hit Glock) that ended his race. For the Monza GP he'll be starting from somewhere in Turin. |
