RE: Ice Road Truckers - The Silent Majority - 09-03-2013 11:20 It was stupid of Dave to get on Maya's case when it was actually Tony who was setting the pace. Ok, he had a heavier load but he should have used his experience to back off on the flat stretches so he didn't have to be up her ass on the slopes. If Maya (or Tony) had made a mistake he'd have been mincemeat. I have to admit Tony's 'manana' attitude would infuriate me too, but not to the extent of taking stupid risks like that. As for Dave getting the sack? Hmmm... let's wait and see. Sometimes the trailers can be (deliberately) misleading. Hmmm He's not in the next season. RE: Ice Road Truckers - munch1917 - 09-03-2013 16:12 (09-03-2013 14:00 )mellover Wrote:Quote:As for Dave getting the sack? Hmmm Nor is Lisa. Means nothing. Jack Jesse had a similar laid back, I'll get going when I'm ready to get going, kind of attitude to Tony as well. There must be something to be said for the attitude, as they are both experienced drivers who have successfully driven the ice roads many years, and Jack Jesse used to regularly lead the load count despite his apparent lack of haste. Might do if you have googled For spoilers: http://www.huliq.com/10473/ice-road-truckers-dave-redmon-says-producers-wanted-catfight-between-lisa-and-maya That tony kept both lisa and dave waiting. Difference between laid back and rude. RE: Ice Road Truckers - kelly1066 - 11-03-2013 15:58 interesting link, but of course, this is just redneck dave's side of the story..... though i don't doubt there is some/lot of truth to some things he has pointed out.... like we've all said before, these shows are deliberately edited to show certain drivers in a certain light..... do you think that rick yemm really is as stupid as he's portrayed...?? (okay, bad example...pmsl) or that the polar bear is as arrogant as he's shown to be.....??? (okay, i'm not doing well here, am i......rotflmao) RE: Ice Road Truckers - mellover - 14-03-2013 03:32 (11-03-2013 15:58 )kelly1066 Wrote: do you think that rick yemm really is as stupid as he's portrayed...?? RE: Ice Road Truckers - The Silent Majority - 18-03-2013 07:32 Got caught up with Fridays episode last night. You have to like Phil, it's -20 odd outside and you're hungry so what do you do? It's obvious, you break out the bbq Whatever we think about Hugh and Ricks driving I have to admit it takes guts to drive those rigs over the frozen lakes. More problems for Lisa but I think the guys who loaded the pipes in the yard might be to blame for that one. So Dave didn't get the sack, well not yet anyway. They've kept us hanging for another week We can laugh at his antics and debate whether he's really as bad as he's portrayed but now he's lied through his teeth to his manager to cover his ass. In my experience staff like that are untrustworthy and you get rid of them at the earliest opportunity, end of. |
