a nice little nod to the first season when he mistakenly thought kim had been killed and went in to rampage mode.

Overall i liked the series or mini series but i felt a little let down the finale aside from stuff i said in previous posts no one found out that the russians were involved with what was going on i know this is probably setting up for another mini series or full series but what i liked about 24 was by the end it always tied things up but set up other things in motion, aside from that we need another series and was with the silent countdown at the end.

Overall I enjoyed it but was a little bit deflated by the ending. Any idea why it was only 12 eps this time? Surely the full 24 ep format has been a proven successful formula, or have tastes moved in the states to no longer allow it?

I thought the support cast was good, Yvonne Strahovski was excellent (and very sexy) as Agent Morgan, and I hope she is involved in any future series. MLR was good as ever, just hope she loses the Goth look for any future stuff!

I think to me the whole thing felt a bit compressed. In days 1-8 the luxury of the 24 ep format allowed the writers to explain things in more detail rather than present them and have the audience accept the story thread without back filling the details.

Shame about Audrey though. Much as it is obvious that the writers never want Jack to be happy, I hoped that this time he would be!

Don't understand why it had the timeshift unless it had to do with calling it 24 rather than 12. What did Jack do in those missing hours - 8 episodes worth of eating, peeing and sleeping?

RE: 24: Live Another Day - *Kal-El* - 20-07-2014 19:05

Its probably to do with the show only being 12 Eps i.e 12 hours plus the show has always been called 24 and shifted it 12 hours later thats why i guess they added the title Live Another Day similar to when when they did the tv movie 24: Redemption was about a hour and half long but skipped hours during the film but was meant to cover 24. In the tv series it always said the following event's are happening in real time.

I like the shortened format has it was more focused.

There are still plans for a movie and maybe another series also there was an alternative ending where jack gets killed.

As for the film Kiefer Sutherland said today at comic con that they are talking about one but as of now there are no plans for one.
