does that meanthen that standards internationally both in Asia & Africa have been rising and those in Americas & Europe haven't?

The somersault throw-in has been around since the 1980s and is perfectly legal. It fully satisfies the requirements of Law 15.

At the moment of delivering the ball, the thrower:

faces the field of play

has part of each foot either on the touchline or on the
ground outside the touchline

uses both hands

delivers the ball from behind and over his head

Will that be the last time we see Messi on the grand World stage? It seems he was cut a lonely figure on that pitch on what was an absolutely crushing defeat by Croatia a result I didn't expect when I felt they had too much fire power for Croatia to handle, but it certainly seems Argentina's time as a powerhouse is for the time being at least, an end. It's not the way I would like to see him go out and without a world cup winners' medal. So many greats have played in the finals and never won that trophy, is Messi about to add his name to that list?
a poor game which was only punctuated by Croatia's 3 goals with some superb finishing. The golden boot is pretty much Ronaldo's to lose and the Balon D'or too.

Got to be a goal fest between Brazil & Costa Rica which probably decides which team is going home...

odds on Neymar to score?

France look like they could go far in this tournament, even though they haven't been that great. It could be Iceland in the next round for them. Peru are out after losing 1-0 to France yesterday and I think have been very unlucky. Two good performances, but they just couldn't score in either match. As for Argentina losing to Croatia, I don't think that's much of a surprise. I think this Argentina team is the poorest I've ever seen.
