The authorities will (or are likely to) know.
Each aircraft dropped its bombs in a straight line, a set distance apart following the signals received from the blind flying aid used.
Our people recorded where each landed and what damage it did from which the size of the weapon and type of explosive could be deduced.
If you visit your local library you can see the resultant maps of your town where an exploded bomb is marked and an unexploded one isn't. Thus decades later when they plan work they are forewarned that there should be a 250kg unexploded bomb or whatever in that location and can budget accordingly.
It's not perfect. Sometimes the Germans lost their aim and dumped their bombs. Sometimes the fires were so great that the blind flying aid wasn't used.

Erm World War II babelover48 probably around the bombing of London and laid dormant for years. It just shows you how dangerous this City still is because you never know what you will unearth and whether it still poses a danger to the public or not. I dare say other areas of the country that suffered like Coventry have bombs buried deep below the ground or the foundations of a building.

I would think then that this one must be one from an aborted raid.

I was just about to say I'm not god but i'm pretty sure I could narrow it down to a six year time scale at least

North London suffered a lot of bombings and I am pretty sure if there was a map of this area it would show a fair number of UXB's(unexploded bombs)-last year though the situation was reversed and the Germans found a British one in one area.

Ronnie Russell has said that one stipulation of the sale is that he wants to meet the purchaser.
So what needs to happen is for the guy to meet him and give it back and tell him not to try selling it again even for a good reason.

Harvey Weinstein has been moved back to a NYC jail following heart surgery procedure. I get the feeling that his time in jail may not be for very much longer, since it is likely he would be standing trial in LA on further charges at some point, which I would gather if they went ahead, on top of the sentencing he has (or likely to face from his trial in NYC) he would probably most likely die in jail. But just glad that he has been found guilty on two counts.
