It's been somewhat like his challengers blew themselves out or ran away panicking. He may never get a more comfortable world title. But well done all the same, and credit to GvV for making it that far.

GVV had a chance to go two sets up but missed double eight fine margines make a difference would of been a different game if he had got it as it was Littler stepped in won the set and never looked like losing after that.

And i forgot to say he is now the first back to back World Champion since Gary Anderson in 2015 and 2016 and only the fourth player to do some after Phil Taylor,Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson.
Not even Michael Van Gerwen has ever managed to retain the title.
