The orchestral piece by Carl Orff-Carmina Burana was the dramatic music used to advertise OLD SPICE "the mark of a man" Big Grin

Karl Jenkins first came to fame when his music Adiemus was used by British Airways in their expensive advertisement-you might recall a load of people come out of the sea converging onto an island and make up a globe and then a face that winks. As mentioned elsewhere that had a singer called Miriam Stockley who had been a backing singer on the theme tune to...DANGER MOUSE! Smile

Canadian Bill Mitchell provided the husky voice for the long defunct aftershave DENIM "for the man who doesn't have to try...too hard!"

Gorgeous Carry on, Bond actress/model Valerie Leon was the femme fatale in the HAI KARATE ads, yes another fragrance for men.

Pigeons used to feature in Trafalgar Square and used to appear flying off into the air at the start of a film-can't remember which company used that-but the last thing to fly into the Square was a helicopter carrying Tom Cruise for one of his sci-fi films. And whereas in Mary Poppins you might "feed the birds, tuppence a bag" it was more like 10p for a pot of feed.

Lesbians and deaf women wear the same clothes

Deaf men and women don't want you to clap if they perform because although they can see it, they can't hear it so the way to 'applaud' is stick your hands in the air and twist your hands in a side to side motion.
