Have to disagree, especially because Jeremy was one of the Male BBC presenters being wrongly accused/identified. So I too think he's perfectly entitled to say what he did to stop innocent people being dragged through the mud,

Skully has it spot on, it's a f*****g mess

Why didnt vine who obv knew who it was not check to see if Huw was ok before doing what he did it was all about him

the amount of Twitter abuse Vine gets on a daily basis for his anti car agenda its normal for him

Like one tweet someone put

Vine the self proclaimed spokesman for Road Safety was happy to throw someone under the bus Tongue Tongue

Further allegations from Junior BBC staff about Edwards being a bit of a creep. No surprise there...

However there's now a story doing the rounds about a certain former "Sun Journalist" who liked to engage in a spot of sexual harassment of male colleagues leading to some leaving with payouts and his vile behaviour actively being covered up by News UK's HR Dept.

Oh dear Rolleyes

The Sun stated that the parents in the Huw Edwards case never asked for payment for the story. Tonight The Guardian are reporting that TalkTV has offered them "tens of thousands of pounds for an interview" Seemingly the interview has been recorded and is being edited. Who owns The Sun and TalkTV - yes dear old Rupert Murdoch

They should have just told Murdoch to "f**k off!"

^ Why would they do that when they're quids in, it doesn't matter what their son is saying now, they are cashing in on all of this.

RE: General News Thread - dundeered - 14-07-2023 15:43

But, it says everything you need to know about how much they care about the welfare of their children.

RE: General News Thread - skully - 14-07-2023 15:57

Oh I agree mate, it's cashing in on something horrible and that makes them utter cunts, but why would they turn down money when they clearly want it.

RE: General News Thread - SecretAgent - 14-07-2023 16:24

^ Its give a lie to the claim that they don’t want any money from this.

RE: General News Thread - SecretAgent - 14-07-2023 16:39

I’m seeing claims on social media that The Sun covered up accusations about Dan Wooton (ex Sun and now at GB News) from when he was there. If they are true both he and The Sun are going to be in big trouble. He was it seems pretty vocal about the Huw Edwards situation although it’s said he’s delete all his tweets on the subject (like he did when Caroline Flack died)

So Kier Starmer has u-turned on his commitment to abolish the 2 child cap for child benefit (also known as the rape clause). Reversing this policy would take millions of children out of poverty. Yesterday on STV News in Scotland Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar got his knickers in a twist trying to defend the u-turn.

To me Labour are trying to get power by just not being the Tories rather than providing any real hope that (pardon the pun) things can only get better.
