4.19 Think it was Haley's turn to take a powder, but hey, James was front & centre a lot, with some "mind palace" (!) gubbins to cover for his new (temporary?) super powers. Dreamer also came to the fore, allowing to reverse much of the tone of the series with some helpful "hey I'm an alien and a goodie too" chatter, and Ben Lockwood never once thought to go "well take your mask off too". The weird ending on Mars seemed tacked-on, but then I keep expecting Manny Black to return and make sense of his subplot, so who am I kidding?

4.20 Still no Haley, or Luthor, or RD. With Alex in a staggeringly boring and seemingly irrelevant subplot to keep her busy, the DEO is wide open for Ben Lockwood to invade. Oh well done there. And he zaps himself with heronel too. Double well done.

Kara and Lena visit Madeupistan and find Eve and STUPIDLY think it's the real one, even though they know the real one is a conniving liar who's pulled the wool over their eyes for the whole series (not difficult on this evidence). Still, they FINALLY realise how Supergirl has a double, and Kara nearly gives in to telling Lena her identity - clearly she'll find out in the last 2 episodes anyway.

Jonn returns for a meaningful stand-off with Lockwood, only for James to cut it short. And Lockwood gets rejected by his son.

And Kara stupidly goes to the President, a man she's been aware all year has some dodgy ideas, and gets caught out that maybe it's a trap.

Only 2 episodes to go... Rolleyes

Actor Jeremy Jordan who played Winn will be returning to the show in the second half of season 5 in a three part story arc.
