Who would be your 5 to take England's kicks then?

England would actually have a decent choice of penalty takers for once, depending on who's still on the pich at the time of course.

Not a bad performance but not a great one, we`ll have to create & finish off more scoring opportunities if we`re gonna beat the Germans who are looking... Um you know!
I like how the ITV commentators are sayin how good the Germans are looking during the game then after when it`s comfirmed GER v ENG Keegan seems to think they`re not that great after all.

I don`t wanna put the shits up cosmonaut but i think GER V ENG is on ITV 30%Surprised

Cheer up chaps remember this.

Gerrard, Terry, Barry, Lampard and Defoe. Not Rooney, his head aint right at the moment... but I hope to god we don't have to go to pens ever again - Come on boys, lets win games outrightSmile

I'm not sure if that's a good choice Regenerated.

Ashley Cole is a regular in penalty shoot outs. He is likely to be chosen ahead of Terry.

Didn't Terry miss a penalty shoot out with Liverpool

Think again Regenerated. Defoe has only scored 6 of his last 11 penalties. Rooney has a career record of 10 out of 13 including the last 7 in a row and Ashley Cole has 3 out of 3. Milner's been taking them for Villa, so he's a possible, although he missed his only international penalty when he took one for England U21s vs Sweden.

Joe Cole should take one, not Ashley Cole, as he'll be on as sub by the time penalties come round. Rooney will be off injured.

I think Lampard and Barry have the best records at club level, although Barry hasn't taken one at international level and Lampard only has 6 out of 9 for England. Gerrard must surely be in there, although his record isn't fantastic, 20 out of 25 for Liverpool and 0 out if 1 for England.

Milner makes up the 5 as he took them well for Villa last season

The BBC has the pick of the last sixteen games and the quarter finals. So, I think, it is safe to assume that they will pick the England v Germany game first.
