RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 19-05-2012 13:03 Come on Hearts lets make it 111 years at least for Hibs today!! RE: Scottish Football - Sm© - 19-05-2012 13:32 RE: Scottish Football - dan g 27 - 19-05-2012 16:01 Celebration for Hearts and heart break for Hibernian as Hearts beat them in the cup final with a thumping 5-1 win RE: Scottish Football - Sm© - 19-05-2012 16:25 Well done Hearts The turning point was the sending off /penalty incident. Thought you had to be fouled in the box, not trip over your own feet and then dive 5 yards. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 19-05-2012 17:36 Sending off was second booking for a shirt tug, although clearly on slow-mo outside the box, shame refs don't get to watch it in slow-mo! The sending off was justified, but the penalty was a joke. RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 21-05-2012 18:41 Irrespective of what we thought of the referee's performance having watched the game at the weekend Hib's were attrocious, for a national final to perform as badly as that was nothing short of a disgrace, if I were a Hibs fan I'd be embarrassed, they made Heart's look like world beater's. As a Dundee United fan one thing that allways makes me happy is seeing the team play with pride and honour and be proud to wear the jersey. Hibs on the other hand are a team made up of individuals, they don't play as a team, they are gutless and have no spine about them, in short the player's just don't give a shit to be brutally honest. Pat Fenlon all I can say is thank fuck back in 2009 the deal to bring him to Dundee United to replace Craig Levien fell flat on it's arse and we stuck with Peter Houston who in my opinion should have won manager of the year with the budget he had to work with. We have now qualified for Europe 3 seasons in a row. Ross County I fear next season don't stand a chance, I've written them off allready because I just don't see them competing with the big boys at all. RE: Scottish Football - LatexRyan - 21-05-2012 21:36 Thomson was a joke, Ian Black should have been off for that assault on Griffiths, and if not at least a booking and being told, next foul and you're off. How anyone can claim that he is the best referee in Scotland I'll never know, utterly incompetent. The penalty changed the game, Hibs had been shit in the first half and yet were only a goal down, had Thomson not fucked it up, it could have been a very exciting second half to the final. Having said that though we were beyond poor, but did not deserve to lose 5-1. Fenlon did the best he could whilst inheriting a team of no-hopers and journeymen. The loan signings were hit and miss but it's better than tying players down to longer deals especially when you are threatened with relegation. The board now needs to back Fenlon with money to spend in the transfer market. Fenlon's first target needs to be McPake, he's a solid defender and one of the best we've had in years. Saturday made me realise one thing though, that no matter how hard things may get, I'd always much rather be a losing Hibee than a winning Jambo. GGTTH PFGWA RE: Scottish Football - bigguy01 - 23-05-2012 19:55 it seems that the administrators have a conflict of interest. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-18179264 rangers got shaft 4ways now, whyte, spl, previous owners/chairman and now the administrators.
