It didn't help Sri Lanka when Jayawardene was run out without facing a ball & Sangakkara was c & b Badree for 1... not a way that they would like to leave international cricket.

Current score is West Indies are 80-4 in the 14th over, chasing 161
RAIN or should I say HAIL stop play. Sri Lanka are ahead on Duckworth-Lewis.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 27 runs (D/L method)

It got a little wet in dhaka laugh shame, even though they had a lot to do and malinga with 2 overs left, 30mins of Sammy would have been good to watch.

West Indies only have themselves to blame, they knew that weather could potentially affect this game & didn't adapt their gameplan. They have plodded along for large parts of their innings throughout this competition,it was bound to catch them out at some point.

They scored 17 runs off the 1st over but managed only a further 13 in the next 5 overs of field restrictions.

RE: 2014 ICC World Twenty20 - William H Bonney - 04-04-2014 15:33

I thought the West Indies still had a 25%-30% chance of winning that match when it was called off yesterday. Anyway South Africa won the toss against India today and choosing to bat first finished on 172/4.

RE: 2014 ICC World Twenty20 - cosmonaut - 04-04-2014 15:35

It looks like a good total, and chasing has generally proven difficult in this tournament, but India have been the best team of the tournament so far and shouldn't be frightened by a target of 173 to win.

In-Play odds at the innings break: South Africa 4/7, India 13/10.

EDIT: India make 52/1 from the first 5 overs and are now quoted at 4/9 with South Africa 6/4.

Spot on Jack,at least the ladies know how to play as a team,i mean five of the wickets they took were runouts which definately requires good communication and awareness, good luck on Sunday ladies.

Kohli saw India home today with 72 not out from 44 balls. He only failed to score from 3 of those 44 balls.
