It seems that there are a lot of players that do not want to be there, I wonder if Mourinho were to take over having a manger with a pedigree of winning trophies would make them change their minds?

Mourinho wouldn't take the job, Levy has too much power and a total stranglehold on the purse strings, wherever Mourinho has gone he has had tonnes to spend, he'd never get that at Spurs
How much do you think Levy will give him in January? I hope it is more than 50p!! Tongue

Whats the betting he will get bale in Jan after what happened after the Wales game yesterday Tongue Tongue Tongue

not that it matters but watched that penalty decision a bunch of times now and i'm still undecided on it personally. sure by strict definition under "fa law 12" you would have a convincing argument and that is enough i guess, but that rule requires you to think of your opponents safety before you make your challenge. that's daft to me. sure you can't have your boot at a certain height and he should have gone with his hands instead but to me that was an attempt to go for the ball whilst they were both at speed, he missed, and there was a coming together. reckless maybe but i think a penalty for that is harsh. i think game should have played on and no decision be taken unless there was a head injury which there wasn't. gary neville said the keeper assaulted the player ffs, what a wanker

I read this morning that the Oxford English Dictionary is to define a 'yid' as "a supporter of or player for Tottenham Hotspur." Fans claim to have reclaimed this word, once used by Oswald Mosely and his fascists movement. However it is also including 'yiddo' which is a much more derogatory version and this plus 'yid' has not gone down well with the Jewish comedian and Spurs fan David Baddiel, who wants fans to stop chanting it. The word itself is from the Yiddish word for Jew. The club itself has labelled the new definition as "misleading." Speaking as Jew and who once was taunted(but it didn't affect me that much) by an idiot saying (and this showed the sort of mentality that used to exist at school) "why don't you yid down and eat your steak and yidney pie"

I can see how this is upsetting for many but I've always said that if you use any derogatory word as an 'attack' word, rather than just a throwaway one along with dozens of other people it can do more harm than good. I don't follow Spurs(as you can see from my signature) but I knew loads of Spurs fans at my synagogue and they weren't going to use that word. They also told me that they had been targeted with anti-Semitic abuse from opposing fans. I'd be interested to hear what you Spurs fans think-do you shout it out at matches? Do you think your fans should stop chanting it OR are you happy to be associated with that word?

Me personally doesn’t bother me as I never used that term not because of the meaning of that word just in generally never used it.
