When there away from it long periods of time there powers start to fad and if there around no yellow sun no powers. various kryptonites either weakens them or kills them, they used green kryptonite at low level to even it up between kara and kate therefore kara feels the pain. not only do supergirl and superman need solar energy they need a lot of calories to fly and run. also rest is important to them. Spoiler: Show RE: Supergirl - *Kal-El* - 03-11-2015 18:19 First thanks for spoiling key parts of the Ep before aired as some people haven't watched it, secondly the calories has nothing to do with what makes the fly and gives them both there powers with the exception of Superboy where his a solar battery and has telekinesis. Superman and Supergirl recharge under a yellow sun the minute there not under it there powers start to fad away, you'll remember in Smallville in Ep 1 of season 7 where Clark is fighting Bizarro and his badly hurt and the sunlight heals his wounds and gives him strength where Bizarro is the opposite. Even in Superman Returns his weaked by the green Kryptonite what does he do with little energy he has left flies towards the sun to recharge. When ever Superman isn't anyway near a yellow sun his powers eventually fad away and his normal human being even in the comics you see this and in the most recent cartoons he even has to wear a space suit as if his no where near a yellow sun no powers again the begainng of Superman Returns to travels to find Krypton what's he using a his own spaceship. Even in the new 52 reboot in the comics Superman has a new power where he can unleash a huge amount of energy but it leaves him human for 24 hours until he can recharge and of course when he died and came back he was a normal human till he could recharge with the help of the eradicator. As for different Kryptonite there's been different colours of them in the comics each effecting him differently from different colour ranges of the spectrum it's only in Smallville where we've seen the different versions of them whether it's been green, red, black, blue, and the worse of lot gold and they all have different effects which they also would on Supergirl it would be very interesting if they carried this over to this show or only bother with green Kryptonite. Also if his any where hear a red sun he will totally loss his power, also notice in the film Man of Steel where everyone on Krypton is normal human being with no powers lol. As for calories the only super hero that used to effect was The Flash, the Wally West version and it didn't effect him any more as over the years he mastered the Speed Force. Ep 4 promo http://youtu.be/4IhbSlJYdqw RE: Supergirl - HannahsPet - 10-11-2015 04:02 haha best line of Ep 3 " What Next a TV show keeping up with the Kryptonians " good episode so far RE: Supergirl - Heywood Jablome - 11-11-2015 23:27 Not particularly gripped by these first few EPs, but it has to be said she is bang tidy and wears skin tight jeans fuckin awesomely Only thing that pisses me off is how bloody careful they are not to show any Supergirl panties when she's whizzing about or fighting in her little mini skirt! Damn these PC times we live in She should lose the granny brown tights too IMO Also there must be time for some unnecessary shower sequences after all her sweaty exertions.........hmmmm, shower sequences...... Not particularly relevant to the show and its appeal I know, but that's about where I'm at with it. No apologies!! RE: Supergirl - Doddle - 15-11-2015 09:45 Finally caught up with ep 2 The problem with Hank Henshaw is that to me he's the guy who came back as the Cyborg after Doomsday killed Superman. Also the actor in question is a dreary plank. Otherwise the series is OK. Bit of a non-debate about Supergirl (based in National City) not giving an interview to the paper where Kara works, rather that she might talk to the Daily Planet (based somewhere else). RE: Supergirl - biggles - 15-11-2015 20:19 I'm really liking Supergirl - another great Comic Book TV adaption. I wasn't sure I'd like Melissa Benoist however she plays Kara/Supergirl well. Also liked in the pilot they had Helen Slater and Dean Cain - some good continuity there - and Helen Slater STILL looks hot. |
