Brazil manage to pinch the points with 2 goals in stoppage time at the end of the match, just as it looked as though we were heading for the first goalless draw of the tournament. Coutinho and Neymar the scorers.

So Nigeria beat Iceland 2-0 and that opens the door for Argentina again. Nigeria and Argentina play each other on Tuesday. Meanwhile Switzerland beat Serbia 2-1 and that means that Serbia are likely to need a win against Brazil when they meet on Wednesday.

It's now 27 matches in this World Cup and still no goalless draw. The longest run without a goalless draw in World Cup history.

There haven't been many score draws either, only 4 so far:
Portugal 3-3 Spain
Argentina 1-1 Iceland
Brazil 1-1 Switzerland
Denmark 1-1 Australia

Is that down to teams play more offensively in Russia than in any other previously World Cups?

A lot of it has to do with VAR been a lot of penaltys

Beautiful goal from Kroos. They need to sort themselves out going forward though, and Boateng was just reckless.
