Sampdoria's 4 English players were all capped for England whilst playing for the club, except Lee Sharpe who although capped 8 times for England was not capped whilst playing for Sampdoria.

Since the Premier League began only 4 players have worn number 7 for Man Utd. The first 3 were named in the question, making the current incumbent Michael Owen the mystery player.Credit to dan g for trying, but his George Best answer was a little wayward and always looked to be off target (although George Best did sometimes wear number 7 for Man Utd, amongst other numbers).
