It could be worse. What would happen if the match went to a penalty shoot out Rolleyes

Terrible penalty. The better side who were fitter, more clinical and more game savvy, won.

What a fucking game, so close on the offside. Penalty was soft as anything but England deserved an equaliser for their performance. USWNT going forward, especially in the first half, are frightening.

So close, so, so close but why didn't Ellen White step up and take the penalty? She could win the golden boot still, we're in another 3rd place play off so still all to play for. USA coach Ellis was canny, she left out Rapinoe who must surely be picked for the final-UNLESS there is an explanation to come about why she was left out. Either way another semi-final loss but we still have the SheBelieves Cup AND we had drawn with USA 2-2.

I can never understand why we have the competition top scorer but we chose to use a central defender to take a crucial penalty Huh

It’s amazing how often that happens in football. Crazy

Offside was close yes, but VAR proves it was the right decision to rule it out. That's why we have it in the game now, to make sure the decisions are correct. Players, managers, commentators and spectators alike are all going to have to get used to it, especially with it at every game in the Premier League next season.

England fought well, but they don't take chances and USA do. That's why they're the best.
