It's all about opinions though, isn't it? I watched the highlights programme on BBC and Danny Murphy said Foden was a big disappointment on the night. He also said that Mount was England's best player and went through some clips from the match to prove his point.

^ Then Danny Murphy must have been correct. Mount (with his missed effort) and England were so good that they got booed off the pitch at the end.

Yeah, I don’t know what Murphy is on about. I thought Foden was our best attacking player.

I don’t think Mount played badly, but I definitely wouldv’e sacrificed him in that position. It was pretty clear by then that Scotland was shutting down everything that came down the wings. Some fresh legs and a bit of creativity in the middle would have been worth a try.

Yes that is true. Even youth players get a bonus under their boot contract if they get picked for an international youth match.

Murphy didn't say that England were good. He said they were poor going forward, because Mount was the only attacking player who had a good game.

Foden and Mount were doing OK, Sterling was the worst of the attacking players, I'd have subbed him for Rashford, Phillips was not as good as the last game, so sub him for Grealish... And if Kane carried on doing crap after those changes swap him with DCL... Big Grin

if you actually watched the full game you would have seen that Foden was the only England player in the first half who was creating , trying to do things at pace, and risking the difficult pass that could be game changing, he should have been moved into the middle with Jack in the whole then we would have had the creation we where lacking,

The criticism of England has been way over the top. No game is easy. I've just watched the favourites France toil to a draw against unfancied Hungary.

that full stadium really was the 12th man for Hungary, it made such a difference been ages since i have seen a home field advantage like that,
you can see why UEFA are thinking of switching the finale to Budapest if the UK gov will not agree to a covid waver no quarantine pass for all the fans and UEFA people who want to come to the finale in London,
