Will he be given a state funeral & could we expect his assassin to be severely dealt with given he is a ex naval officer? What was curious to see was Tehran condemning the assassination calling it an "act of terrorism" and normally Tehran is very quiet on such incidents. And one wonders what dealings Tehran had with Japan under Abe's premiership. I suspect Tehran could be very vocal if Putin kicked the bucket. RE: International News Stories - HannahsPet - 11-07-2022 09:29 Iran and Japan have strong diplomatic ties especially when it comes to energy they have also been go betweens the US and Iran along with other countrys RE: International News Stories - Charlemagne - 18-07-2022 11:18 There's something not adding up with the crash of a large cargo aircraft transporting munitions from Serbia to Bangladesh which had exploded over Greece. The plane was carrying 11.5 tonnes of military products and the buyer was the Bangladesh defence ministry. The plane was owned by Ukraine and all the crew were Ukrainian. Do they really believe that the munitions weren't destined for Ukraine, and that Russia had nothing do with the crash. RE: International News Stories - Tumble_Drier - 18-07-2022 17:43 ^The only point in the Flight where that plane was flying even remotely in the direction of Ukraine was after the Crew declared an emergency and turned back towards Kavala in Greece. They were over the Aegean heading roughly South East on course for a stopover in Amman when things went shit-shaped.
