RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Joannis - 28-04-2024 12:38 Maguire wins 13-9! Finishes off with a stupendous 127 break! Tubbs is out!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Ronnie 5-3 up after the first session. Didn't have it all his own way. He came out all guns blazing with a 123 break but Day pegged him back to 2-2 before the interval. He went 4-2 up but then Day came back with a 115 break. I can be a bit more impartial now that everyone I wanted to be out is gone, but I'm still supporting Ronnie to win the World Championship, or if not Ronnie, then Judd. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Snooks - 28-04-2024 12:41 Until you know who is out I am staying well away from it all. And if he wins the whole thing I am converting to fucking Billiards. ![]() RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - HannahsPet - 28-04-2024 13:29 Will you be changing your name to bills ![]() ![]() RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Doddle - 28-04-2024 16:18 Maybe should change Murphy's nickname to Popeye. Then Bingham could be Tubs rather than Greaseball. Or just leave it. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Doddle - 28-04-2024 21:14 I realise that this nickname talk smacks of cheap abuse. That said, Joe O'Connor's pixie ears do look a bit silly. Ronnie getting away from Ryan, Kyren looking similarly in control. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Joannis - 28-04-2024 22:22 Ronnie 10-6 ahead overnight. Ronnie was giving Ryan chances but Ryan just wasn't scoring enough and Ronnie was. Ryan reversed the situation in the last 2 frames of the session to leave himself only 4 frames behind. Kyren is also 10-6 up against Joe O'Connor. I find Bingham quite likeable myself and don't want to give him any silly nicknames. He's the kind of player who normally plays like he's past his best. However he does have the annoying habit of finding his mojo in some tournaments and knocking out some of my favourites. If Ronnie and Bingham get through to the quarter finals to face each other I'd be a bit worried for Ronnie playing Bingham with his mojo back. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Joannis - 29-04-2024 14:27 Ronnie defeats Day 13-7 with breaks of 67 and 53 in frame 20 to make sure they don't have to return after the interval. Day will remain in the provisional top 16 unless Higgins or Lisowski win tonight. Kyren wasted no time in defeating Joe O'Connor 13-6 RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Doddle - 29-04-2024 21:15 Two tough tests tonight. 10-10 and it's anybody's... 11-9 and it looks ominous. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Stemmw - 29-04-2024 22:49 What a break in the decider from John Higgins. The first and last reds were incredible. He beats Mark Allen 13-12. RE: World Snooker Championship 2024 - Joannis - 30-04-2024 07:27 Yes, unbelievable night at the Crucible! Higgins won the deciding frame against Allen with a remarkable 71 clearance from 62-0 down! Higgins is now 15th in the provisional rankings, pushing Milkins to 16th, and only the unlikely event of 2 qualifiers contesting the final will prevent him from starting the new season in the top 16. Lisowski made a 123 break to level at 11-11 with Bingham, but Bingham's mojo was strong enough to bring him home with a 13-11 victory. Full quarter final draw: David Gilbert v Maguire! Kyren Wilson v John Higgins Judd Trump v Jak Jones Stuart Bingham v Ronnie O'Sullivan There are still 4 qualifiers left, and the Gilbert v Maguire match guarantees there will be at least 1 qualifier in the semi-final. |
