They can promise anything as they are not getting into power..getting more football on free to air channels would not be looked at until next round if allocating matches to various tv companies. Even at that time the likes of Sky who need as much footie on their channels they can get will fight it.. Just waiting for this week's list of Ed Davey pie in the sky promises.. RE: General Election 2024 - lovebabes56 - 02-06-2024 10:59 I get the feeling neither Labour or the Cons would want a coalition with the Lib Dems as I think both would want absolute majority to goven by themselves. As for Ed Davey's promise he probably could promise a first space flight to the moon from Uk and still wouldn't get in.. Firstly, although the Lib Dem’s are polling roughly where they were at the last election, the Tories polling position is so much weaker. Secondly, tactical voting, in constituencies where it is a contest between the Tories and the Lib Dem’s there will be Labour, Green, and other left wing voters willing to lend their vote to the Lib Dem’s to kick the Tories out. RE: General Election 2024 - HannahsPet - 02-06-2024 16:40 yeah a lot of seats in the south east more likely to fall to the lib dems or maybe greens than labour think thats why gove jumped before he was pushed out seemed like it was going to be a casualty there RE: General Election 2024 - lovebabes56 - 02-06-2024 19:06 (02-06-2024 08:40 )Charlemagne Wrote: Liberal leader seems to have spent most of his time charging around the country looking for photo opportunities. Just when the locals thought there couldn't possibly be any more shit in the water..... Quote:But they have pledged to bring football back to the masses, with 10 matches a session going out on a free to view channel. The chances of me voting LibDim just went from extremely unlikely to completely impossible. ![]() RE: General Election 2024 - Snooks - 02-06-2024 23:00 (31-05-2024 13:13 )HannahsPet Wrote: local tory candidate has received a envelope full of shit !!
