RE: Football League: Discussion - Charlemagne - 03-05-2025 16:03 ^ I wasn't celebrating that the B's didn't get into the playoff's, nor sad that The Leeds got an extra time winner to give them the title. But it's a shame that Millwall scored as it stopped Burnley getting the record to themselves for the most games in a season without conceeding a goal. At present it stands at 30. Burnley has probably conceeded the least amount of goals in a season. And over the last 116ish games in the Championship (with Dyche, Company and Parker) they have only lost about 6 games. Shame they were not going in at the other end you lost on goal difference RE: Football League: Discussion - Charlemagne - 03-05-2025 16:57 ^ If they still had goal average or the old two points for a win then Burnley would have won. RE: Football League: Discussion - Snooks - 03-05-2025 17:13 Unbelievable drama in League Two. Walsall looked set to claim the last automatic promotion spot in a 1-0 win at Crewe. Walsall had led the table for a long time until just recently but suffered a 13 match winless run until today. Their main rivals for promotion were Bradford City who needed to match Walsall's result to go up. 0-0 going into the last minute of stoppage time and then yep you've guessed it. Bradford score and get promoted. In any case if Leeds start the season knowing they only get 2 points for a win then they would play a different style. Insane that Burnley concede just 16 goals, & the 30 conceded by Leeds is the 2nd best in Championship history. Burnley fans had to abort their pitch invasion, that would've been embarrassing. Leeds have scored 22 goals from the 81st -90+ minute of the game this season.
