Even by the standard of this thread............Rolleyes

According to IGN Peter Jackson will be directing a Ep of Doctor Who.

The title of the Christmas special is called "The Husbands of River Song"

^^ oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! No, don't want her back, no.. just no.

As far as this season is concerned, I've been catching up on the iplayer. I've gotten as far as the Zygon Invasion so far.

It's very much mixed feelings still. I've been liking a lot of the throw backs and mentions to previous eras, but at the same time I feel they've lost some of the continuity in the current season by putting too many flashbacks in. They're good in moderation but I feel there's been a flashback to a previous incarnation in almost every episode so far. For me this hampers the story telling of the current era.

The sonic glasses are rubbish. The guitar is foolish and unnecessary. The stories with the Viking village and the Daleks were decent, there were some good cliffhangers, but so many of the other stories have been very weak.

I'll persevere with it for now, although I did have to force myself to stay awake with the Zygon story part 1. Perhaps I am losing heart with the show, maybe it just gets too weak for me to bother at all, and that would be a disaster for a long time Who fan like myself. We'll see in the coming weeks. Not looking forward to River Song again though.... Sad annoyed

I've often wondered why people on here even bother watching it.

Well Clara looked hot in her last episode.

Because we're fans? Because we want it to return to former glories? Because we once liked it and remain hopeful that one day things will change and it will be enjoyable again?

There's no point in saying everything's great with the show if it isn't. Is it not better to give an honest assessment of how we're finding the show at the moment?

There's such a thing as giving up. This thread is page after page of how bad it is, over several series. If i liked something and it deterioated to the point I felt the need to come to a forum saying how bad it is, I simply wouldn't watch it any more, seems the logical solution.

As for saying the show isn't great, thats just a personal view point, many others would disagree.

As some one once said, if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all. There's honest opnion and then their biased opnion.

^ Thought people were being quite objective on here actually.

Have you seen some of the dedicated Who forums?! eek

For me, modern Who has many good points, plus some outright silliness and overblown moments that let it down. I see no problem in pointing both out where people find it. After all, the classic series was hardly without it's faults - as posters on this thread have also pointed out; that's hardly bias is it?
