RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - munch1917 - 05-06-2020 17:04 For weeks on end now there has been a constant message - no need to wear face masks, there is no evidence that they help. Now recently, face masks have been 'recommended' in enclosed spaces. This week, face masks have been made mandatory on public transport. Today, face masks must be worn when attending hospitals. Why do I get the feeling this is all leading up to another u-turn, that we will soon be told to wear face masks in shops, maybe at work, possibly whenever outside. Only it won't be a u-turn of course, it will, be 'following the science' RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - SecretAgent - 05-06-2020 17:16 I don't disagree with any of the measures the government has introduced. After all they have been used by most countries worldwide. The problem to my mind is that they have been late by days, weeks and in some cases months If they had acted sooner we wouldn't have had 40,000 dead and more to come. To my mind the public mood has been ahead of the government throughout. RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - lovebabes56 - 05-06-2020 19:01 Guys May i suggest you look at Meggie foster's videos on twitter and youtube i guarantee the Rudy V Piers one is brilliant!! RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - HannahsPet - 05-06-2020 21:36 https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/coronavirus-r-number-north-west-18370083?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar So where does that leave the north west as usual govt saying fuck all RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2020 06:39 That probably means some footy games will have to be moved if R is over 1 locally I would have thought At least today we won't have to worry about the likes of Raab, Hancock, & Shapps making complete asses and looking like bullshitting idiots in the briefings Piers Morgan actually thinks he son did a good thing by going on that march? what a hypocrite!! Been fucking shouting down Government ministers for weeks & bans them and then wonders why the fuck they won't answer his questions and then praises his own son for acting like a cunt by going on march? I won't be surprised if his son gets it but will be be surprised if Piers gets second dose of the virus. Personally i hope someone gives him the trots to get him off screen again RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2020 06:54 (05-06-2020 17:16 )SecretAgent Wrote: I don't disagree with any of the measures the government has introduced. The problem to my mind is that they have been late by days, weeks and in some cases months I think you're right public perception has been way ahead of the Govt over this I think at times they have totally misread the public opinion. I think this easing has come too early to me it still doesn't feel like the right moment for it to be easing but if we get way above 1 again I think the public will stick two fingers up to the government and ignore hat they say. I think they should have waited banged down the hatches once Italy exploded and did everything that they have been doing now there and then. i know I'm right in saying that trump said the virus was nothing to worry about but didn't Johnson say the same thing? RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - sandals1963 - 08-06-2020 17:07 Been locked down 12 weeks only out once in that time doing my bit and we had thousands parading through Manchester at week end so if it goes above one its our faults and more people die..... RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - lovebabes56 - 10-06-2020 16:30 Do think they are still sending out mixed messages in the briefings and Boris certainly waffling and blustering this one... RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - HannahsPet - 10-06-2020 16:51 Looks like everyone will be fucking this weekend haha RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - The Goatman - 10-06-2020 16:54 (10-06-2020 16:51 )HannahsPet Wrote: Looks like everyone will be fucking this weekend haha Most of us will just be wanking as usual |
