Think Jon Jones broke one of his feet the other night,he's been given a 6 month suspension unless told different by a doctor. If he is gonna be out for the full 6 months i can't see Rashad Evans waiting til the then to fight again.

I read that a fight between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis had been anounced but then scrapped because of Davis's surgery.Puting these together i wouldn't be surprised to see Evans fight Machida again with the winner fighting Jones on his comeback.

If you look at all the UFC Champions they're all well rounded fighters.

Dominick Cruz,Jose Aldo,Frankie Edgar,GSP,Anderson Silva,Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez all have pretty flawless games.

Another thing, with the exception of Jose Aldo and maybe Anderson silva who's a Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,Muay Thai,Judo and Taekwondo all these lads can wrestle. They're all dynamic and hard to land a blow on.When's the last time you saw any of them get properly tagged (apart from Edgar against Maynard).

The only fighter out of them all i can see losing his belt anytime soon is Cain Velasquez.Think Dos Santos will beat him in November and maybe Edgar when he fights Maynard but that'll be close.

All 7 guys are brilliant.

Out of the UFC Champions who have to defend their respective championships over the coming months, I think Frankie Edgar and Cain Velasquez are the champs who are most at risk of losing them. Having said that, I still believe both will retain them.

GSP in training earlier with Dan Hardy in prep for his UFC 137 Title fight with Carlos Condit.

Good move for both fighters i'd say.Hardy says he's already learned a lot after just one session with the champ.

I won't pretend I am a huge UFC, I am not, but I do take a vested interest if I realise one of the PPVs are on! Bisping, GSP, Koscheck, Jones, Matt Hughes, Griffin, Couture and Liddell are guys off the top of my head that I love/loved.

I'm watching the Ultimate Fighter, after watching the GSP-Koscheck one (not a fan of Lesnar so gave that one a miss) and I love it. The build up to the fight and the pranks and stuff make for a really interesting series, and the fighters are really impressive this year!

Of the current UFC guys, champs and non-champs, who should I look out for?

Welcome to the thread.

As for your question:

UFC Heavyweight Champion: Cain Velasquez (Unbeaten in MMA)
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion: Jon Jones (Biggest prospect in MMA, youngest ever UFC champion)
UFC Middleweight Champion: Anderson Silva (14-0 in the UFC)
UFC Welterweight Champion: Georges St. Pierre (dominant)
UFC Lightweight Champion: Frankie Edgar (never gives up, his UFC 125 fight with Gray Maynard is the Best Fight of 2011 so far this year)
UFC Featherweight Champion: Jose Aldo (Evil leg kicks)
UFC Bantamweight Champion: Dominick Cruz (Unusual style)

UFC fighters to watch who aren't champions: Urijah Faber, Diego Sanchez, Brock Lesnar (who starts debates on both sides of the argument), BJ Penn, Mauricio Shogun Rua, Dan Henderson, Chris Leben, Ben Henderson, Donald Cerrone, Vitor Belfort and Antonio Rodrigo
Nogueira.

My predictions for the main card UFC on Versus 6: Cruz vs. Johnson fights.

UFC Bantamweight Championship: Dominick Cruz vs. Demetrious Johnson – Cruz, DEC
Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve – Barry, TKO, R1
Anthony Johnson vs. Charlie Brenneman – Brenneman, DEC
Matt Wiman vs. Mac Danzig – Wiman, DEC

Thanks for that post TDK. I've really fallen off and lost interest in the UFC as of late but thankfully the new TUF is pulling me back in (after 2 ep's it's already more entertaining that the last season)

I haven't seen the Cruz v Johnson fight but There was a few good wins for Stefan Struve with his 6f 11inch to Pat Barry's 5f 9inch it was a funny fight for both knowing the other can finish the fight in one punch or kick but as soon as Struve got close it was all over. Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson dominated Charlie Brenneman but I'd go with Joe Rogan in saying the fight was stopped on a referee instinct rather than calculated decision.
Also another good win for Paul Sass & another heel hook, he's now 12-0, 11 subs 8 triangle chokes 7 straight & 3 heel hooks. As much as I like a good standup fight it's also refreshing to see another fighter along with John Hathaway to come from these shores & be mostly a ground fighter.

RE: UFC - HEX!T - 02-10-2011 22:18

for me the fight of the night was williams vs danzig... both men were warriors... they went toe to toe for 3 rounds straight. both men were a bloody mess at the finish and it was a real shame that 1 had to loose.

fair play to the champ for retaining his belt but i wasnt that enthralled by the style match up. a good win but an ugly fight.
