To be fair since the Eni Aluko allegations it looks like the FA have been looking for any excuse to get rid of Mark Sampson despite his record of getting England to semi finals of the 2015 World Cup and 2017 Euros

The last line in the Bristol Academy statement released last night is an intriguing one though:-
"The club has had no further contact from the FA on this subject in the intervening years."
IF they have had no contact from the FA in the "intervening years" since the last investigation, and the FA claiming they had only gone back and re read the original report into that investigation only last week, then why had the FA made no effort to contact the club if there were still issues raised that had not been properly looked at and investigated further shouldn't they have contacted the club about them Before they re - surfaced and not only that why was he still allowed to be on the touch line on Tuesday night and then sack him less than 24 hours later?
All of a sudden it seems any England soccer team manger's job is becoming a poisoned chalice and the consequences of this investigation could spread further into other sports where England national teams are concerned and the FA being looked at by the Sports Minister and even possibly questions raised in the House of Commons?

Apparently sampson has not signed a confidentiality agreement so hopefully he can now tell his side of the story
RE: Football Banter - lovebabes56 - 21-09-2017 05:50
if he does tell his side, I wouldn't bet against it blowing the FA apart

Sampson had a contract for another 2 years, which the FA has fully paid up. They also say he's clear to continue in football coaching.

Is the referee tonight actually running around with a blind dog?
RE: Football Banter - lovebabes56 - 26-09-2017 05:42
The referees sometimes aren't able to keep up with the pace of PL games sometimes that performance last night would have to be one of the worst refereed PL games so far this season but I'm there have ben worse before last night
